THE PROJECT

Established in 2004 by 43 companies involved in importing and producing electrical and electronic equipment (EEE), Ecotrel was created following European directives that were adopted into national law. It fulfills its role by managing and financing the collection and processing of waste from electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) at collection sites set up by local and state authorities. Additionally, Ecotrel ensures that the EEE currently sold by its members will be recycled in the future.
